Hello From Kentucky!

Hello everyone! This will be my first post and I just wanted to tell you a little bit about me and Bubbie. Bubbie is ten months old. He is a deep fawn color and weighs about fifty five pounds. His given name is Max, but he has such a baby face that I have started calling him my Bubbie Roo. My husband surprised me or should I say shocked me when he brought Bubbie home last fall. He was going to be a man's dog. Meaning he would be my husbands best buddy and go everyplace he went. Well it turns out that Bubbie is a mommy's boy. He does love my husband, but I am the care giver and the one that takes him everyplace I go. He is a handful, but I love him to pieces. I had never had a big dog before Bubbie and it has been such an experience to see that tiny little puppy grow into this big boy. It sure happened fast! If I didn't have the pictures to prove it I would think that little guy was a dream! I will post pictures of my Bubbie Roo soon. Anyway it is great to meet everyone and I am really happy to be a member at this great place! Bonnie

Thanks for the welcome! I already love BW like crazy because it has so much information about my favorite subject. Mine is being a little angel this morning. Went potty at eight and is now back to bed sleeping in beside mommy! I love to be lazy on Sunday morning. Of coarse I will probably have my hands full this afternoon! Thanks again for the welcome. Thank you for the kind welcome sidhewlf and atlasmom911! sidhewlf , I looked at your pictures and Chance is a big doll! atlasmom911 here in Kentucky we seem to use the name Bubby for the boys quite a bit. The girls we call Sissy! Sometimes it sticks and a few of them will never go by any other name until they get to college or leave the area. I love the way you have photos of your first Boxers in your gallery. I love going back in time and looking at the black and white pictures of my family and thinking about how everything used to be when I was a child. My dogs were Boston Terriers. I haven't had one as an adult but have fond memories of them from my childhood. Atlas is a beauty. Again thank you both for the welcome!!

I was raised with boxers. My dad brought my first boxer home when I was 5 yrs old. My daughter inlaw is from Beattyville,Ky. My sons name is Dean and when they started seeing each other when she said his name it sounded like Dane. They have been married 11 yrs and have two boys.

Stella's Mom I live in Grayson, KY which is in Carter County. I am not familiar with Shelbyville although I have heard of it. Linda, my husband has worked in Beattyville several years ago when he worked as a safety supervisor for a drilling company. I believe he has some friends that live there now. It is nice to hear from other people in KY!
