Just wanting to introduce myself and my boxers and to thank all of the great people that moderate (and many that post to) this board. My name is Derrick, and I have been a viewer of this board for the last several months. My wife (Marcella) and I got our first boxer about a year ago - a fawn female named Zoe, and added a second one about 6 months ago - a white female named Katy. We love them both so much! I've had dogs at various times growing up, but this really is a special breed, and I spend a lot of time on this board trying to learn to raise them right.
We made some mistakes in the beginning of this process (and I'm sure we're still making many), before we found this resource, and I regret that. But, there hasn't been one single issue that I haven't found good answers to on this board as we grew in our knowledge and understanding. Moderators like Tulsa-Dan and others have been very helpful to us, and I wanted to take time to actually send a thank you.
Also, for you other new posters: the search function on this site is your best friend. The fact that I have gone so long without actually posting is a testimony to that. Odds are VERY good that your issue or question has already been answered, so save the moderators some time, and take a quick look first
. It will also save you from having to wait for an answer...
I recently finished The Dog Listener - a must read!! -- and am reading Culture Clash right now. Both of which have drastically changed my perspective on raising dogs. I highly recommend them to anyone raising dogs.
I look forward to spending a lot more time on this site (as work permits), and will continue to use it as a valuable resource. I hope to have a gallery up soon, so check back within the next week or so if you want to see some pics of my furkids.

Hello & welcome from a fellow Texan! You are so right about the amount of info on this web site...loads to see & lots to learn. I am also in awe of Tulsa Dan & the other moderators for the wonderful job they do and am officially addicted to this web site!
