Hello Boxer Lovers!!

I wanted to take a chance to say hello before I bombard all of you with my silly boxer questions. So HELLO!!! :D

I am a first time boxer owner, it's my husbands second time around. I keep hearing horror stories about couch eating, drooling etc.. so I decided to register here and have a look around. And the more I look the more I am certain we made the right choice in getting a boxer. Even if he eats the couch I think things will work out!!

We had two cats before getting Hammer, whom we've had for about 2 months. So you know that this has been somewhat of a shock to my "cat" senses. But Hammer is a little sweetie, and I think this site will help me adjust as we move forward.

You're sure to find a ton of information about all things boxer--including behavior (couch eating ) issues! Don't be afraid--these little buggers can be a handful, but I'm sure it's already obvious to you why we are so crazy about them. Best wishes with little Hammer, and hope to read your posts soon!

Welcome to BW! I don't know about the others but we've had no couch eating and little "drooling." Beware though, they'll get water "caught" in the jowls and use you or your clothes as a towel!!

My boy, Chewy, is a couch eater. He tore up our old couch so bad that we had to get a new one. And he has torn up the new one a few times, but it survived. I just figure we'll have to buy a couch every year or so. But I have never ever ever once regretted getting our Chewy. He is (mostly) an angel, and we love him with all our hearts. It's well worth it!
