First, a confession: I have been a passive follower of these boards for some time now, but I have never joined a forum before and it has taken me some time to commit - despite filling in the registration form several times before backing out again!! At last, I found the courage to hit that Submit button....

I am on my second boxer, he is a 15 month old red boy called Barney. Before that was Tyke, a brindle boy who left us in August 2003 two days before his twelth birthday. We swore we'd never have another as the loss was so great, but three months later.......along came Barney! We're in Scotland, by the way.

I look forward to actually joining in! I'll get some pictures up in the near future and introduce everyone properly. (DH reads too, but would never admit it!! See I've been hiding here so long I even know the shorthand!)

Thanks! The name was DH's choice, I've added an avatar of one of the first pictures we got of Barney, he looks much the same - but so much bigger now!!

As soon as we saw the picture, I had to agree the name, it suits him so well - he's my Barney Bear!

Very cute puppy! I love his black mask. LOL if I could change a single thing about my boy Henri, it would to paint over the white on his face (don't tell him though ;) ).

Welcome

I'm glad you took the plunge to join us! I really enjoy belonging here. I've learned soo much from these wise boxer lovers! I'm here daily if my babies give me time. Training is taking a lot out of me but were getting there. My brindle female (12 weeks old) has a white stripe down her face and I just love it. I think it gives her that something special in her look. Your baby is adorable with that solid black face. I love that pic. Can't wait to see more soon.
