Hi, All. I actually introduced myself back in March, but then life got in the way and I haven't had a chance to write again, so I thought I'd reintroduce myself. My name is Edith and my Hubby(Jim) and I adopted our first boxer a little over a year ago. His name is COB (Cheif of the boat, or as I like to say, chairman of the board). He is an absolute joy. He's our first boxer; Jim raised Goldies and I always had Dobies, he was our compromise dog. We sort of rescued him. His owner was going thru a divorce and he had decided that if he couldn't find a home for his dog, he'd have him put to sleep! Thank God he liked us!! Bred for show in CA, he was a monorchid and so became a pet dog. Talk about sweet! He is the most well-mannered dog I have ever known. He suffered for awhile with allergies, but we have him on Purina HA(hypoallergenic) and I give him a little apple cider with each meal and he seems to be quite happy with that. (for a while we were calling him Mothra because his coat was so bad from allergies). Anyway, sorry this is so long. I read the forums everyday (from work) but I can't post from there, so I just wanted to say "hi" and thanks for being there!

I sure hope so. I really enjoy and get a lot of info reading the posts everyday. Cob is a 5yr old neutered male, docked, natural ears, and the joy of my life. He loves going to the beach even though he can't swim to save his life! I've been trying to teach him, but he just sinks! He is the monitor of our dog park. Keeps all the young pups in line by just sticking a paw out! It's hysterical to watch how he does it. Anyway, hope to write more often. Thanks
