Hello to everyone at Boxer World! My wife and I recently brought home our first Boxer pup...Geddy...She's a flashy fawn, now about 10 weeks old.

We're amazed at the personality and temperment this little pup has. This is our first Boxer and we're hooked!

We look forward to reading and responding to this forum.

Cheers for now

Geddy.

Welcome Craig, Cathy & Geddy, what an unusual name, how did you come by it? Now that you have got your first Boxer that is it! No other breed will do, Boxers spoil you. Sergeant is our third Boxer. Our first was Winston, we only had him for just over two years, he had a hole in the valve to his heart; then we got Brenin, he was with us for eleven and a half years before he went to the bridge; now we have Sergeant who was six in October. He loves the snow, (when we have it), and one of his favourite games is chasing the cats from our garden! He is helping Gunther, my husband, at the moment. Gunther is cracking Hazelnuts and Sergeant is eating them! We usually keep him to about two a day, but with Gunther shelling them he will most likely have at least half a dozen.

Hello Craig and Kathy
Welcome to the board. Congratulations on your new furbaby!! It is so nice to say hi to a fellow Canadian!! Our numbers are growing. Geddy is a neat name. We are owned by two boxers, Buddy male flashy fawn 7 yrs old, and Kailee 2 female brindle 2 yrs old. We just adopted Kailee from Rescue, and it was Whitby where I went to pick her up!! Congratulations, and I'll look forward to your posts.

Regarding her name heehee

Hellloo all,
Thanks for the comments and intros....
Being a musician myself, (and Canadian) , I have been waiting to use the name Geddy for a long time..and yes named after Geddy Lee of Rush fame..we just had to wait to have a backyard big enough to house an active dog...
Cheers for now

Welcome to the board. Is Geddy a family name of some sort? Very unusual, but really a neat name!

As you can see, we are all a little crazy about our Boxers here. I'm sure you will find everyone here quite helpful and full of fun Boxer stories. We look forward to sharing your stories (and pictures) too. Welcome!

Welcome to the Boxer Board Craig & Kathy. Your Geddy is same age as our Ana. I'm sure you're going through the same trials and tribulations that the Mrs and I are! It's our second boxer and we can't imagine another breed. They're in a class of their own.

I was born in Brantford. Has Whitby become a "401" suburb of Toronto yet? I can't think of Whitby without thinking of the famous "Whitby Dunlops". It that still the name of your hockey team?

Hope you'll find this Board as valuable as we have. The big beneficiary is our boxers.

Hi Eric,
We actually just moved out to Whitby from the Beach area of Toronto...sooo being a newbie to the area I'm not sure what the local hockey teams name is...I will find out though.
Also, I believe Whitby is on the cusp of becoming a 401 suburb...lol

Our pup was born on Halloween 2000....and because of all the snow we've had, has yet to see any green grass...i felt bad for the poor little thing ...housetraing when its minus 15 outside cant be all that pleasant....she has developed a really neat personality over the past 3 weeks....just amazing!....Shes also venturing further and further out into the backyard and seems much more resilient to the cold.

Thanks for the reply,
Craig

Sooo cute, if I ever had a son, I was going to name him Geddy as a nickname! I LOVE Rush almost as much as I love Boxers!!!
