Hello all, we are the Liles family and we have lived in Cumming, GA for 14 years. We had our beloved boxer Alex for 10 and 1/2 years and lost her to Boxer cardiomyopathy. We immediatley found another Boxer puppy within a few weeks. We got really lucky. Our breeder decided to give her, Barkley, to us for a family pet and she is sooooooooooo beautiful. I call her my lovemuffin. You know how boxers are!! So so so lovey and hilarious! Even though we had so many close calls with our first Boxer we knew when she passed that we wanted another Boxer. My husband and I totally fell in love with the breed. We have two children that adore Barkley. My eleven year son is her playbuddy. She is the happiest when she is with children. She thinks she is a child herself, now almost two in June. I found this website by looking up pancreatitus under the health subject for humans. The Vet took xrays of her tummy after bouts of throwing up her whole food and discovered that she might have swallowed something. After days of trying to get it to pass we decided to open her up and to much of our surprise there was nothing there and that she had a swollen pancreas. Apparently she was having an attack of pancreatitus. She is a house dog so I am not sure what caused this but she is back to normal!!!! Yeah. I love this website, it is very informative!!
Sincerely,
The Liles Family
