Height of Boxer

I have an 8 month old that to me seems to be pretty short. I haven't measured her but just from looking online at other boxer puppies she seems little. Could anyone let me know the approximate height of a female boxer at 8 months? She just seems to have stopped growing. Thank you!

She won't have stopped growing - just slowed down so it's no longer patently obvious. She's probably within a couple of inches of her final height - but she won't reach that until about 14-16 months old or so.

Anyway - a female boxer is supposed to be between 21-23 inches tall, measured to the withers. So if your girl is at least 19 inches tall at the moment, then she's going to end up perfectly correct. There are a lot of oversized dogs out there though, so don't just compare her to others, measure and see. Very likely it is your dog who's going to end up a correct height and the others are oversized for their breed

Athena is also 8month and I measured her today because I also think she looks small, after measuring i realized she's already ahead of the game at 22 in.

My female was huge really early--fully grown by about 15-18 mos, but my male did not reach his full height until he was at least 2 years old. He is still filling out. We thought he would be pretty small but he's topped out at 25". My female (his half sis) is 25 1/2" (big girl :D ). They typically don't mature until 18-24 mos so she might still surprise you.

My husband actually measured Girlie yesterday and said she was 21" and she is 8 months as well. It is funny that I always think she looks small too. I think that when I see other peoples boxer pics, they seem a lot taller, but I've found that they just photograph that way becuase Girlie looks tall in her pics.

I never measured Jade before tonight but she will be 10 months old on the 26th of October and right now she stands 22 inches high. I also thought that she was on the small side but I guess not. Thanks for asking that question because I have been wondering that same thing lately.

She really is smaller. We measured her and I think she was either 17 or 18 inches tall. So I suppose she will be a bit smaller then some. But she is a sweety and wouldn't take anything for her!
