Heat Soon?

Hi yal,

Nikki is our first female, and we're anxiously waiting for her first heat (on pins and needles), actually probably anxiously waiting for it to be over.. anywho, my question is.. She's been acting a bit strange the past few days, and having food cravings, so it seems.. (she's been wanting apples a lot, and whining if she doesn't get them..) Are these signs that she may be coming into season? My conformation instructor made the comment this past wednesday that she looks like she may be coming into season w/in the next few weeks. Are there any other physical signs i should look out for (besides the obvious swelling)? Any help is much appreciated!

Mood changes are definitely part or it. Her Vulva and nipples will also swell.

First sign is vulva swelling. I will have to qualify this with "usual" since very girlie is different. They will also start licking back there more often and become more sensitive to touch. Then of course the obvious spotting starts.
