Beneful isn't a good food. Check out www.dogfoodanalysis.com to read reviews on dog food.

Canidae all life stages is a good food that is cheap to boot. I can't get it where I live so I buy it from petfooddirect and have it shipped. Shipping isn't cheap but I always use a coupon to help offset the charges. They alway have coupons out and in fact, just today, they released a 22% off coupon. Of course since I placed another order last night with a 20%

I know it isn't a good food, but Austin is a picky eater when it comes to dog food, and there isn't a whole lot of variety here.

Timberwolf Organics has free shipping on their food. (on orders over $15.00, I think). that's how i get my food!!
At first, when you look at the prices of Timberwolf, it may seem expensive but you end up feeding less food than you would while feeding Beneful.
Just offering the info :)

Thanks so much for the info, it really helped. Harley was eating beneful healthy weight, so I dont know if there was something lacking in it that he needs. We did feed him regular beneful and he had no problems with it. We stopped giving him dry until we can find a food that works. Thanks for the links I'm going to do some serious research. Thanks again!!!

I'd just like to thank everyone who helped me with Harley and his head shaking. We took him off Beneful healthy weight right away and bought a different type of food, and he hasnt had one head shake since. Thanks again for all the support!

Gibson has this occasionally. The first time it happened I was terrified (I still hate them) so I rushed to the vet. She told me that some breeds (boxers included) just get unexplained head tremors. It doesn't seem to bother him at all, in fact he gets excited at the peanut butter and extra attention he gets. I have noticed a pattern in that they only seem to happen when he is resting...almost sleeping. When he is active, or even just sitting around hanging out with us, he has never gotten one. My vet said to just watch him and if they get severe or start to bother him, she will explore it further. I know it's hard to watch and it scares you, but it seems to be fairly common, and not something that hurts them.

Hang in there! Jen
