He looks mean

I was showing a coworker pictures of Sam in my gallary, and she said that he looks mean. There is one picture in my gallary that he looks kind of mean but she haden't looked at it. I was just wondering if you think that he looks mean.

I think some Boxers do look mean...it isn't until people get to "know" them that they realize they are just big, loveable couch potatoes!!!

Our neighbors used to turn tail and run when they were walking their small children and see Shadow outside.

They get a bad rap....

i dont think boxers look mean at all i think they arae majestic looking. the only mean faces i see are on the people who judge them to be mean.

It's just that Boxers have some sort of frown, they aren't all smiley looking like Staffys. I have friends that think Zen looks mean but I just think he looks cute

Some boxers can look quite intimidating, especially to those who arent familiar with the breed. My Barrett kinda looks that way and he is more of a baby than my shih tzu!!

i think it's because they have very serious looks on their faces and they've got muscles, as my DH says. When i look at pics of cassius i have one that bascially shows his, "I could kill you if I wanted to" facial expression. But then, right next to it, I have one where he is lying down on his frist trip on a boat and his face says, "Eek! It's moving, what do I do?!?" and he looks like a scaredy cat!

When I see pp that are apprehensive of cassius, I try to point out his nubby- waggin away, it usually communicates that he is not satan and is not mean.

Mean looking might be ok

I agree that boxers look more majestic than mean. However, maybe it isn't so bad that some people think they look mean, this way they can "play" guard dog at home, even though the only thing I think our Judah would do to an intruder is wiggle them to death and maybe drop a stink bomb on them.

Sam is gorgeous! He doesn't look mean at all. I have always loved this breed's look. Serious, sad, pouty, goofy, etc. I am sure to someone not familiar with boxers, they may look intimidating. I have had people tell me that Bayleigh looks mean. Yeah, right!

I don't think Sam looks mean at all! I think he's a cutie. I guess to some people Boxers can have an intimidating look....probably to the same people that think they are pits. I had one kid tell me that Buster was such an ugly dog. I almost cried, it was like he told me my kid was ugly! Some people just don't get it, and probably never will!

I think its the serious look on there faces that make them look so intimidating. Once they get to know our babys they will know they are not mean.
