Ok, my dog isnt and has never been good at the vet. He just hates it,plain and simple to the point. I have to double up the muzzle on him and that still doesnt really work!!! He is an 85lb solid boxer. He is 6 yrs old now and yes it is my fault for not teaching him to be good at the vet but thats what I get I guess. My question is...is there anything I could do to help him at the vet or something to give him to maybe relax him?I just hate to see him all crazy there and then get him home and he is like a completely different dog. Thank you for your help.

Have you always gone to the same vet? Is it the vet or the office that he doesn't like? The first vet Baci had, he was ok with but we found the overall service from them was not good. With the new vet, Baci absolutely loves him, he lets the vet do anything to him with no problem at all. All the staff there are great with him. A friend of mine also had problems with her dog going to the vet. The dog was traumatized everytime they had to go in. She also switched vet and now the dog has no problem going to the vet.
