He is driving me to Insanity

For the past couple of weeks my usually obient, loving boxer has become posesed or something. He won't do anything I say and when I tell him not to do something he goes and does it as fast as he can. When I take him outside to go potty he runs like a maniac and it takes me 20 minutes just to get him to stop running around and come back inside. He gets into things he knows he isn't supposed to be in and I am getting to the point where I don't know how much more I can take. I don't kow what to do about his behavior or why he is doing it. He is 9 months old and if anyone has any insight on why he is doing this and what I can do to stop it I would be very thankful and so would my sanity.

It sounds like he is acting like a teenager. I'm not sure what age they usually go through this, but Ginger got like that and still acts like that on occasion. It has gotten worse because we just got a rescue on Monday and she is extremely jealous. Also I noticed that she got a little more energy when the weather started to change..

Cooper is 8 months and had started going through this also! Hopefully it is just a stage. He gets me soooo frusterated sometimes!

Yep...teenager! Mine is in that stage now too and he gets very frustrating at times (okay most of the time right now :D ....unless he is sleeping)! They say it will pass and I sure hope it does. We just keep training him and trying to reinforce good boy behavior....I don't think it's working :(

Oh boy!

Thanks everyone for the warning!

Rigo is a spoiled 6-month old. I'm sure the fun has only just begun!

You are now the parent of a teenager. :D

He may be selectively deaf, think he has all the answers and think that you have to be the dumbest human that ever walked the earth BUT at least he won't want to get a driver's license or date.

When Schu was that age, he was a terror! Among the funniest things he did was rip up landscape lights my hubby had just put in. We had a houseful of family on Christmas eve & I looked out the window just in time to see Schuller & John, his partner in crime, fly past with 60' of lighting wire with parts from the lights flying off!

Hubby didn't think it was all that funny at the time.

Enjoy your teenager and be thankful he has 4 legs instead of 2.

;)

I will keep my fingers crossed that the 2 legged one stays the angelicon that he is! (am I asking too much  )     In 6 mos he will be caricon ....I guess that is when my troubles will begin!
