Having Troubles With "Delayed" Typing!

if I install a firewall...will this use more resources than I am already using

Yes, a program always uses some resources... On my old laptop (Celeron 700 with 256 mb ram running XP) zonealarm makes the startup slower. After, it is not really noticeable.
What is your processor and how many mb of ram do you have?

I am running windows98 SE...Celeron (tm) processor running 127MB RAM...! I know it's not much but it's really the kiddies computer until mamma can afford better! System information tells me 74% system resources free, but of course that changes drastically depending on what programs I have opened. As of now...I try not to have anything running in the background.

Weeell, if you are a cable or a dsl user, I think you really should install a firewall. I already have thousands of intrusion attempts since I formatted my computer and it was only a few months ago.
128 mb ram is fine for Windows 98SE
