Just recently, my computer started something new...when I am typing, nothing shows on the screen for maybe 10-20 seconds later! It's delaying for some reason? Anybody know why? :)

Thanks so much Maniago! I use to have Spybot but it came with too many "extras"...was a pain in the butt! I'm going to try your link! :)

Ahhh...SHOOT!! I'm running Windows 98SE (antique...I know)...this spyware download is for Windows 2000...XP, etc! I'm searching for another download that meets my system requirements.

Okay since you are going to be difficult :) I have tried the free trial version of Webroot's Spy Sweeper. It is free for 30 days, and works on 98.

Also look for Ad-Aware, that one works as well with WIN98. I use spybot and Adaware and will look into the microsoft one as well. Can't have too many if you ask me!

Well I ran the Spy Sweeper...thanks Maniago for the link...sorry for being so difficult. ;) Amazingly enough..it found 9 sources of Spyware..1 internet highjacker...1 virus and 84 traces of Spyware!! I ran Spybot just last week and none of this was picked up on! I also ran Norton Anti Virus 3 days ago, and no virus was found.
However...I am still experiencing delayed typing! :( I am going to run a full system maintenance to see if this helps...what else could it be?

You might have some problem with RAM or a memory slot not working well.
If you don't have a firewall yet, install a firewall like zonealarm (http://www.zonelabs.com - there is a free version available) to see if you have unknown programs wanting to connect.

Thanks Olly! I believe it's a memory problem...I need to upgrade! This may sound like a stupid question...bare with me please...but if I install a firewall...will this use more resources than I am already using and further complicate the memory/RAM problem? :)
