Thanks everyone for your ideas! I haven't been online all week, so I was surprised to see 3 pages! My guess is we'll probably go with the wood chips or rocks of some kind.... I'd be a little short on the $13K for turf! The ground has actually been frozen for 2 days now, so we've had a little break from the mud. Our boxers run so hard they dig up the mud when they play... none of our other dogs do that! You gotta love the spirit of boxers. There is nothing like them...

My yard is horrid !!! I have drag strips all along the fence line, around the trees (well the trees that haven't been eaten that is) and all around the house. It's a mud pit when it rains & a dust storm when it's dry. There is no way I could keep them off it long enough to replant grass. Thank goodness we live out in the boondocks =)
