It was 2 am & I was ready to go to sleep so I was rounding the dogs up to go out but only Harley was here. I looked in every room for her & called for her but still - no Zoe!! I thought maybe I'd let her out & forgotten to let her back in :o even though I knew I didn't. After a second pass through the house I heard a thud in the front bedroom...I look in the closet & out comes a butt - Zoe's butt! She's slowly backing out of the closet & jumps when she sees me there. I knew something was up since she was being so sneaky...
Then she starts running around like a fool chasing things in the air that only she could see...acting real paranoid. I thought maybe there was a fly or something but never saw one...I looked in the closet to see if she'd gotten into something (I keep my AVON products in a box in there) but everything looked ok. She was in every room acting like that so I finally just sat down & ignored her.
Then Harley started acting crazy too foolicon Their daddy has been taking a class on meth & other drugs (he's a cop, it's ok) so I called him to make sure there wasn't anything bad hidden in his pants pockets in that closet or anything that they could have gotten into ;) but it was all ok. I thought maybe they'd had a little party in the closet or something I wasn't invited to; you never know with these 2.
I still dont know what got into them...maybe they saw a ghost or something.....or maybe it was all the storms we had yesterday finally got to them.

 Sounds as if Zoe was trying to make Mommie think there was something in that closet she needed to "get." All so Mommie wouldn't be upset that she caught Zoe in the closet. ;) She sounds quite the "drama queen!" :) :)

I've lost mine before. Called, looked everywhere. Buster was in the attached garage. Apparently he went out when one of us came in. Cripes, couldn't he have at least barked so we would know where he was........little stinker!

LOL Dan...my thoughts exactly!! Seems Zoe may have been caught with her "hand in the cookie jar" sorta speak, and made a big production in order to make mommy forget she was in the closet where she shouldn't have been! They are so smart...never underestimate a boxer! ;)

oh...and BTW..I have lost Xena 3 times in my home! Twice, she was accidently locked in the basement and once, (poor thing) we forgot her in the car!! :shameful: We came home from shopping...unloaded the car, and just assumed Xena got out like she always does. It was almost 2hrs later when I went to let her out before bedtime and I could not find her. DH and I just looked and each other and both said "noooo" at the same time! We opened the kitchen blinds and looked out the window and all we could see was this boxer silouhette with fly-away ears in the dark car...front drivers seat!! DH laughed his head off...I felt guilty for days! It was January too and she was cold! I still feel guilty about that!

I thought I lost my Courage once... was looking at the floors, closets, beds, and sofas... but she was standing on the kitchen counter in the dark... and she's dark brindle!

On the COUNTER? OMG. My 4 1/2 month old just learned this morning to jump up on the bed from the floor. Up until this morning she jumped on the hope chest at the foot of the bed and then the bed. Next the counter? I haven't lost her yet. She is still always glued to my side. Or more correctly attached to my arm or leg with her teeth. Love her to death though.

Ive lost Adam several times! When I round the pups up to go to bed, I turn off the lights, go up stairs, then call the dogs. Well, Adam is dark brindle & Ihave dark carpet in the living room. I cant see Adam if he's on that carpet. I've even missed him in the daylight! I call, call, call & he just looks at me funny. I've lost Evie too. Since she sleeps when we are gone, we no longer crate her. When I come home, I call for her. If she's sound asleep she wont come. I've gone looking for her and cant find her. But if I ring the door bell- down she comes!!
