Boxer Buddy
I think my Brutus has forgotten he is Canine. It's all I can do to keep from laughing.. His new thing now is when he is ready to go to bed, he goes; jumps onto the waterbed and makes himself comfy on the pillows!! We have to yell into him to get off the bed and you'll hear him grumble and jump off and out he comes with this look and a huff. Tonight he was "helping" to decorate the tree, no explanation needed on that one!! When I remind him he is just a dog, He'll start growling and barking at me as if to say, "Take it back!!" He's my Bubbie Wubbie. Just wanted to share and to say I've given up on reminding him; I wouldn't want him to be just a dog; He's my Boxer; more than my dog; He's my Pal....lovicon lovicon

How cute! Brighid is the same way. And our little kitten now thinks she is people too. She was helping me wrap gifts on Sunday and then last night she helped put the address labels on the Boxer World Christmas cards (so if you get one with a crooked label or a little black hair under the label it's one that Hunter helped with).

Animals are so great. They have always been a part of my family never just pets so they all grow up thinking they're people.

I think Austin feels the same way! He goes to bed when he feels like it-I'll just say "Night Austin". He goes to the kitchen and pig grunts at his bonies when he wants one. He IS such a tart!smashicon

I've noticed the same behavior in my baby. He is almost 4 months and he wants to be included in everything. Since we (humans) sit on the couches and sleep in the bed he can't understand why he can't. I just don't have the heart to tell him he's not a human but a dog. So instead I spoil the Sh*% out of him and let him do and sleep pretty much anywhere his little half human heart desires. He's my baby not my dog
