I have a rescued white deaf boxer, NA. We have a recurring problem with her in the morning. Her stomach will be making all sorts of noise and she will not eat. She sometimes will throw up, and she will be skidish. Usually in the late morning she will eat and everything will be back to normal. This tends to happen once every two weeks or so and occasionally twice in one week, it never effects her in the evening. Going to the Vet has done nothing, because by the time we get there she's back to normal. The Vet always says it's probably an upset stomach. I'm thinking of taking her to another Vet. Has anyone encountered anything like this?

What is she throwing up in the morning? Is it just bile, or is there solid food in there too? If it is just bile, it could possibly be because her stomach has been empty for too long overnight. Some boxers have that sort of problem, and it is generally solved by feeding smaller, more frequent meals. so a late night snack could be all she needs.

If she's throwing up food remnants, then it could be that whatever you're feeding her doesn't agree with her in some way. In that case, I'd suggest a change in food as first port of call. Check out the feeding forum for suggestions on good quality feeding options.

If you're inclined toward a natural diet, you could also check out the BARF forum. Many dogs with sensitive stomachs do better on raw food, so that could be another option for your girl.

Good luck, and let us know how things pan out.

Markus will get like that sometimes. The trick is to get him to eat something, which is hard to do as their stomach is upset. It probably just because his stomach is empty. Boxers don't deal well with empty tummies. Try giving him a big biscuit before you go to bed.

I agree with Jan. Mia the boston has sensitive belly and always does better with a night time snack.

I started feeding my pups raw in July and am so happy with it. Do some research here, there is tons of info on it as well as good quality human grade kibble. Good Luck.
