Hi all, Gunther had his MCT removed on Wednesday, along with two other growths on the other side just in case they could develope into MCT, too. Today is day two and he is seems to be recovering as expected. I think tonight I will be able to sleep in my own bed as opposed to sharing the couch with Gunther (wanted to be sure I was alerted if he had any issues or needed to go outside, etc.. OK, I mostly just wanted to stay close to my baby). We expect to get the pathology report early next week. I have a couple pictures of the incision, but don't don't how to post them right now.

So pleased he's recovering so well, I know how worrying that recovery period is. Will be thinking of you next week, and keeping my fingers crossed.
Enjoy sleeping in your own bed tonight and a well deserved rest..I know so well how hard it is to be a Boxer nursemaid, but worth every minute.
Sending healing ((((vibes))))

Pathology results - grade II

Gunther continues to heal and is feeling better every day. Yesterday he took out a tennis ball from his toy box, gave me kisses, and asked to go on a walk (I had to refuse his request, though). Anyways, I received a call from the Vet saying the pathology reports was in and it was "good news" and she would be back in the office next week. I picked up the report, and though a lot I don't understand, I understood the the grade, which read " intermediate grade (grade II). it went on to say "Excision appears complete and should be curative." There is more on the report which I don't understand. But I'm thinking this is telling me no further treatment is needed. Now, though, I want to read about diet and vitamins that others have used with success.
