Jada growls with her toys and other puppies when she's playing. She's always been very vocal. When we tell her do to a command, thats when we get the big sighs. "Like, do I have to" they are so funny.

This sounds like my boy-he complies but not without a little vocal protest-usually the biggest sign you could ever imagine like we are idiots for asking him to do ridiculous things like sit and stay. My girl does the "woo-woo" :) Fresh kids

Payton does the same thing also- but he has never "growled" at me. It's always a wierd, mouthy, whiney, sometimes woo-wooey sound that comes from him. He mostly does it when he's not happy about the way something is being done around him. silly dog! :)

Jakey did the same thing too! We called it back talking, everyone got a kick out of it - except for my husband-who was pretty much the only person that got backtalked... DH would take it like it was a child giving back talk, I would just laugh. Definitely not growling though, I would say it is their way of talking back. Jakey would do it if DH told him to sit, and Jakey would sit, but the whole time he would be back talking. Some times he would sit there and keep mumbling staring at hubby. Funny!
