I need help, I have a 1 yr old reverse brindle. He is a complete honey to adults and my three year old twins, however when he is around other children I can not trust him at all. He has nipped at two different children in my home and if we take him to the park he growls and the hair on his back stands up at any child around. I am not sure where this is coming from since I have had him since 8 weeks old and he is treated wonderfully by everyone.
My husband seems to think that maybe in some way he is protecting the twins from other children, since he has never even growled at an adult. Has anyone ever had anything like this happen with their boxer and other children ?
