i have two year old boxer who is wonderful until we try to leave the house-she willingly goes in her crate in the morning -which is not problem, but then when we come home-if we try to leave-she refuses to go in her crate and if we try to leave her in the house-she tries to bite on our clothes (not our skin)or cling onto our legs-so we are kind of caught-b/c she snaps to go in her crate and won't let us leave-it is a struggle-yet as i said she does it in the morning without a problem-it is if we try something out of her routine-any suggestions????

Isn't it funny how they know when you're going to go out!!

We don't crate our girls but perhaps you could try this. When you get home from work and let her out, wait for an hour or so then put her back in but don't leave (put the crate into a spot where she can see you). Maybe leave her in there for 1/2 an hour or so. Do this maybe everynight for a week - this may calm her down about getting back into the crate after you've arrived home from work. Once she's settled into that routine - continue doing the same but then leave the house for say 10/15 minutes or so - getting a bit longer with each night. After another week of this hopefully she will have no fear of getting back into her crate cause she knows you're going to come back. I think she may have a little bit of separation anxiety going on.

Good luck - let us know how you get on.:)
