The grossest thing that Tank has tryed to eat is the butts from cigarrettes, His grandma smokes outside and he trys. I have to get it out of his mouth, oh he will also lick up bird poop. So far that is it.

Ok so I read this thread when it was first posted--but considered myself lucky that Dempsey doesn't really eat gross things. (just your standard stuffed animal legs and paper towels)

I can feel lucky no more! When he ran past me I knew something was up, and I looked...yup. Used tampon. I called a friend freaking out that I was going to have to take him to the vet and she said her sister's dog had just done that a few weeks ago and had pooped it out.

I waited and waited--this morning he threw it up. Of course, he immediately tried to eat it again. Silly dog!!!

Not exactly gross, my Bubby ate A LOT of bird seed straight from the bag. After a trip to the vet to make sure that he'd be Okay (and he was find) he pooped "Bubby Granola Bars" for 3 days.

You might have had lots of little birdies being able to find their own way home after that episode:LOL:follow the brown brick road:LOL:

Completely Boxer Crazy
Besides a used tampon and the occasional tootsie roll from the cat box, he once got his mouth on a dead squirrel - it looked like roadkill that a bird dropped in my yard. The only recognizable part was the tail, it had no fur on the rest of it's mangled body - ewwww. Fortunately, dh was close by to get the squirrel remains out of his mouth as I jumped up and down screaming  I was useless I must confess.

So far it has only been his own vomit. BUT after carefully examining his vomit the other day since he had quite a few bouts of it, it was full of chunks of grass (the chunky grass that collects on the mower blade), corn stalks, straw, small rocks and what looked like the remnants of a small mouse.

It was his first day in his dog kennel and he got brave enough to explore the creek after we let him out.
