Grinder or food processor?

What do you think works best for making veggie mush?

I used to have a Kitchen Aid stand mixer that came with a grinder attachment, which worked like a charm for making veggies. However I lost that in the "divorce", and don't think I'll be laying out $300 for another one anytime soon. SO I'm looking into a more economical alternative...

I've just been using Mountain Dog with veggies, but I'd really rather make my own and just use their plain meat.

I've been looking at Moulinex grinders, meant for meat but I'm sure they'd do veggies just fine. I really liked the consistency I got from my old grinder. Or should I just pick up a food processor? And if so, what kind of specs should I be looking for, I've never had one before?

I don't BARF, but I do homecook. I have a Black and Decker food processor that I got at Walmart for $50-$60 and it works like a charm.
Some of the veggies I use are frozen, I slightly thaw, run them through the food proccessor and then dump it into boiling broth. I don't think it would work for bones - but it handles vegetables really well.

I think food processors work better than grinders for veggies. I have a Kitchen Aid food processor and it works great. Kitchen Aid is very expensive, but it's worth it. I expect it to last for a long time. I destroyed 2 others in fairly short order when I started feeding raw.

You could purcahse a Kitchen Aid food processor on e-Bay. They usually go pretty cheap. U-Bid is also another one that sells them cheap as well.

Food Processor for me

I just got my food processor...it was relatively cheap. 50.00 can.

It is great for veggie mush...no problems so far. I love it!

Thanks guys, I appreciate it! I had never used anything other than the Kitchen Aid grinder, so I have no basis for comparison in terms of easy/hard to use.

I will start looking at food processors...
