I am truely sorry for your loss. sounds like he had a great night last night and helping him cross was the right thing to do. we never want our animals to suffer. they give us to much joy to do that.

Thanks for all of your kind words. I am keeping myself busy today gathering some of his things to donate to the shelter that's run by his daycare, and finding someone who can use a freezer full of raw food! He did have a good life. I'm glad it was only punctuated by one day of suffering.
