Just got home from work. Griffin is pretty pathetic and his neck is swollen up pretty big. I guess we just have to wait to see what the vet says tomorrow. He might be hungry, because he was sort of interested in his food, but I think his whole mouth area is probably just too uncomfortable to eat. Good thing he's packed on 7 pounds of table scraps and treats since he was diagnosed. One missed dinner won't hurt him!
Ok, well, he had scrambled eggs for dinner and we just took him out for ice cream. So, if he's not with us tomorrow night, at least he enjoyed himself. My poor baby!!
Unfortunately it didn't turn out well and we had to put Griffin down this morning. He was having trouble breathing this morning and the vet said the tumors had probably advanced into important structures too much to be removed. So, we made the decision. It was not hard, since he was obviously suffering. We were very lucky that he only suffered for one day. It was amazing how quickly he went downhill. On Wednesday night he had his last long walk and seemed fine.
