Greta's 1st little boxer burns...SO cute!!

My Lilly is 14wks old too and burns like mad!!! I have a round coffee table in front of my couch and just this morning she was burning around the coffee table in circles, except when she got to the side the couch was on, she would run up on the couch and then back to the floor, around the table, then back up on the couch. Talk about hilarious!!!!! All the time her ears were straight back, and eyes bulging out. I really need to invest in a video camera!

When we first got Grumpy she would burn around the living room all day long, big circles, jumping over the couch and running under the coffee table. Well, she grew pretty quick, the coffee table didn't grow at all, and one day she just WHAMMED her head into it, trying to run underneath at 100 miles per hour. OUCH!
I was so scared she had given herself a concussion but she just blinked, shook her head, and took off again - detouring around the table this time!
Now that she is 40 lbs she mostly takes her burns out in the backyard, thank goodness!

Nothing silly about getting excited over baby Boxer burns. They are so adorable! I loved all of the firsts with Bubbie Roo, and I still get a kick out of watching my big baby burn!

My sweet Greta, who is now at the bridge, used to do her burns in a perfect figure eight! Ears flopping and eyes bugged out, and stopping every once in a while to jump straight up and bark as if to say, "look at me, this is fun". I had to laugh when I read about Grumpy hitting his head on the coffee table. Greta did the same thing on the fence. She always could burn under it, but one day, oops, can't fit. Back up and try again, nope don't fit. So, stop, dig a little, and presto, she fits! Couldn't get mad, had to admire her determination to do her burn properly, fence or no fence! Later when she really got big, just jumped over it, and continues to burn! Gotta love those burns. She would even go faster when she had an audience, and the kids would say her name: run Greta, run. Her feet pounding on the ground , sounded like a heard of horses.

I wish Rugby would be this sensible. Once he realized it wasnt convenient to go under the table anymore he decided over was an acceptable alternative. Now he uses it as a launchpad for the jump to the couch =P
