My name is Wendee, 21 years old and I have a 3.5 month old boxer. He's a handful but the most affectionate dog I've ever had. His name is Rocky. So far I've taught him how to sit, lay down, shake hands, sit at the door when he wants to go outside, and I'm trying to teach him now to stay (tough one for some reason!), but he is a smart dog and learns very quickly. Yesterday I took him for a walk with no leash and trained him to stop when I stop (at driveways or street corners), and he did very well. He gets bored easily and does crazy things like climb onto the kitchen table, chew up my cell phone, and climb into my office chair when he wants to take a nap. Does anyone else have a boxer that won't sleep on a bare floor? He will only be able to sleep if he's on top of a towel, blanket, or his bed. Or the couch, my chair, my lap, or the anything soft.

This is a great forum to talk about Boxers and get advice.

My bailey doesn't like to sleep on the hard floor. She is very picky.Rocky sounds like a hand full. I'm only 23 and we have 4 dogs. My boyfriend has his 2 and I have my 2 boxers.....well there his 2 I guess I can share! The german shorthaired pointer Maggie was my b-day present about 5 yrs ago but she dont like me very much. He would always take her to work and she has been his shadow ever since.I guess I didn't spoil her enough or something. Our beagel doesn't care much about anything she's about 10 yrs old. And boy does she stink no matter how many times I give her a bath like 2 days later she stinks. I'm pretty shure its her slober that does it she has old teeth her breath is funky.She is always itchy. My Bailey I got 3yrs. ago I have all ways wanted a boxer. My grandpa used to have a white one.I always wanted a brindle one....and I got her she a fuuny girl. So silly sometimes. Then we got
Dozer boy he iis about 5mon.old hes sick right now he has HOD(if you dont know what that is please look in the heath forums I have something in there about it). And on top of that he has red mange(puppy mange). We got him so we could breed him and the vet strongly suggested that we don't.Him and Bay would have had some cute pups.But now we have to get him cut. Well

Welcome to Boxerworld. The only time ours like to lie on the tile when it's hot. Otherwise it's always on the carpet. And, Marley (our youngest one) has to have a pillow - - it could be a real pillow, my foot, a blanket that he's piled up, or some part of Justin (our other boxer) - - but he always has to have his head on something!
