we have had Bella for about 6 months now and she is ABSOLUTELY wonderful...she loves to play with her frisbee and she never seems to get enough...She is as strong as a horse.
Boxers are great...my wife and I couldn't be happier with the breed for US...everyone is different though...I will tell you this, Boxers have LOTS and LOTS of energy...For example, Bella and I will play with her frisbee for about 45-60minutes, and then go for a 3-5 mile walk...and she still wants to play more...
from all of the research I have done, this isn't unusual, most boxers have tons of energy...

Welcome I am from PA also. I have a four year old boxer named Joe and I will be getting one of his puppies in a week. They are great dogs. I agree they have lost of energy. Since we got Joe we made up our minds that we would never have any other breed of dog ever. Joe is wonderful with my kids and very well behaved. They do have a mind of their own though.

Hello and welcome Helen!
Boxers are such an amazing breed! My husband and I got our first boxer this past December, he is the love of lives and just an amazing boy! He is SO smart and amazing! I realize we're not the one and only lucky ones, it's the boxer breed. They do have a TON of energy though, so be prepared for that.
It's amazing, our boy was neutered yesterday, we got him home and an hour later he was running around the house and playing with his toys as though nothing happened. We didn't expect this at all and had to settle him down, he's not supposed to be so active after. Amazing little trooper!
