Boxer Buddy
Welcome to BW, Grace. I am sorry for your loss - it is very hard whenever our kids leave us, but when they are taken young it makes it that much harder.
There are two boxer clubs somewhat close to you. Boxer Club of Western NY covers more of the Buffalo area, but there are a couple of us in Rochester that are members. They meet the 2nd Saturday of the month at a members home. There is also Upstate Boxer Club. It is a newly forming club (started last summer) not yet recognized by ABC or AKC but working in that direction. They meet the 3rd Saturday of the month in Batavia at the Ramada Inn at 6:30. There are several people from the Rochester area in this club. Guests are welcome at both clubs meetings.
Another option to check out is the local shows. There is one in Buffalo this weekend. Boxers go in the ring at 2:00 on Saturday and 10:30 on Sunday. I think there are only 8 boxers scheduled to be there (but most are from Rochester - Buffalo area). There is also a show comming up at the end of March in Syracuse at the State fairgrounds. It usually draws more entries. I will be there Thursday and Friday competing in agility with Gypsy, and will probably stay to watch conformation on Saturday.
