Green runny eyes

Just recently I have noticed that our two boxer puppies have green eye boogers in the morning when I take them out. This morining it seems worse. However they only have the eye boogers in the morning. If it was an eye infection wouldn't they have green eye boogers after naps also. Does anyone have any answers they are not due to go back to the vet until the middle of October. However if needed they can go sooner.

Sounds like the sleepy eye goo. I have read somewhere here it could be allergies. Well, since I changed the diet to a 5star food diet for allergies, all 3 of my pups are feeling much better and NO EYE GOO!

Maybe a diet change is the case here too?

My kallie gets this too. Granted I notice it only in the morning after a weather change, or when the pollen is bad, i think it is just related to allergies. However we have had our fare share of eye infections also, but normaly when it is an infection her eyes and inner eyelids get bright red and she has the green goo all the time. If you start to see it all through out the day i would definately take them to the vet. Hope it helps!

Our young girl also gets this if there has been lots of pollen around.
Usually I can tell, because my wife will be sneezing too.
