I think it's hysterical that names came up today when my husband and I are considering re-naming our adopted Boxer. I've introduced myself and posted a few times, but have always spelled my Boxer's name the wrong way thinking no one would know the origin of her name!

I always say: Harrah, but her name is actually HERA!!!! She was named by the breeder and the people who had her didn't know how to properly pronounce the name. Too funny.

So the above post was so close to home!

I have to say though, after having her for over a month now, I don't think we'll be changing her name because I can't imagine her as anything else. Except we do call her "circle dog" because of her spastic circling every morning. :D

I have always used names of the dogs orgin. I named my boxer Blitzkrieg, but call him Blitz for short. My dad has a German Shepard he named Rommel. I use to own a Cane Corso that was named Nero. Thats just how I am, but Im wierd!

I really like the name Legend for a male. I tend to like short unusual names like Blaze, Storm, Flash...not your usual dog names.

CraizyDaisy's mom- I love the names Olive and Frankie!!! Perfect!! I think those are great choices Sara_good. Of course you will probably get tons of names thrown your way. But once you see that beautiful Boxer face the name will just hit you! Ha ha. Good Luck!

For a girl: Stella , Emma, Greta, Katie, Gracie, Audrey, Annie, Kona, Leilani, Ellie, Rosie, Hazel, Ruby

I've had to name 4 foster dogs so far, so it helps me to keep some of these in mind!

I am all for a Greek Theme----------my boys were/ are called Draco and Argos (both Greek names)...........Argos was almost being named Sirius!!!! I like the name Hera.....but its Roman version is Juno ----and Juno is my name!!!!
