GRAPES & RAISINS CAN POISON YOUR DOG

I read today that the Animal Poison Control Center has documented multiple cases of poisoning in dogs from grapes and raisins. They are toxic to the kidneys. 1 grape per pound of body weight and 2 raisins per pound of body weight. So a 50 pound dog can die from eating 50 grapes or 100 raisins. along with raisins and grapes--which can lead to kidney failure you need to worry about onions avocadoes and apparenlty tomatos

Wow! Thanks for the heads up, my dogs love tomatoes, and actually all kinds of fruits and veggies. I never would have thought they would be harmful. All along I thought I was giving a healthier treat by giving them those sorts of things. I have only given like a grape at a time, and a slice of tomtato, but still had I known I never would have. Thanks so much for bringing this up.

ok beau solei i correct myself. I went looking through Cinnamon's puppy folder the vet gave us because I knoew thats where i saw the tomato thing its not the tomatos, its the leaves and stems. But heres some other food that are listed

caffeine mushrooms toadstools potato leaves and stems rhubarb leaves eggplant raisins/grapes and onions avocado, chocolate salt tobacco and compost.
