This morning I had to literally push Tenaia out the door because she took one look at the rain and the puddle at the bottom of the stairs and then proceeded to try to convince me she didn't need to pee.

After about 2 minutes in the pouring rain with what seemed to be a never ending stream of urine, she turned around to look at her fanny while still squatting, and she shot a look across the yard at me that said 'you have got to be freakin' kidding me!' - apparently she had an extremely full bladder and was not pleased with the amount of time it was taking to empty.

I had to burst out laughing at the facial expression.......they are sooo cute!

LOL!! She must have been holding out for the rain to stop. Good thing you made her go! I wish I could've seen that look though. HAHAHA!

Tyson did that last night. It was raining, just more of a drizzle, and he refused to go out. About 10 minutes later, it got cold enough for snow, and out he ran LOL. He will hold pee or poo until he absolutely HAS to go if it's raining. It is sooo funny. If he goes for a ride and it's raining, he sits on the porch under the roof until I open the car door for him to bolt down the stairs into the car. They are soooo pampered LOL.

I know EXACTLY the look you are talking about. When mine were little we got about 1/4 inch of snow last year. I had to put them out in the morning, somehow Millie managed to sneak back in behind me instead of going out the door and she peed right there on the floor by the door.

I get the look all the time though. They HATE the rain. You'd think they would melt. And Ozzy tip-toes around the muddy wet yard.

Oscar hates the rain too, but there's a tree just outside the back door and he's discovered he can stay dry by going under it. He has just turned 1 and we had a month of snow, his first experience of it. At first he was scared and wouldn't go outside. Then he spent about 20 minutes trying to catch the falling snowflakes, it was priceless lol.

Cody as well hates the rain. He will try and walk on one foot when we force him out the door. If you have never seen a dog trying to walk on one foot....trust me it is a sight to behold. Now after the rain is done and the yard is full of mud puddles....that is a different story all together. Ripping and roaring though mud is the most fun ever......of course until the bath that always comes afterwards ;) .
Aniah is not bothered by such things as weather or the like.....she lives on a higher plane than the rest of us and can not be bothered by such things as that. She is unlike any dog I've ever known....I swear she is part cat.
These boxers sure do keep us entertained. :)

Rain

It has finally quit raining here, but when it was raining and snowing I had the hardest time with my two. Our male wouldn't go out at all. He would go to the door, and then turn around. Then I had an issue with my little girl. She would go outside with a fight, but then pop a squat and pee on the pourch. I'm so glad it has quit raining here, or at least for a while.

Pardon the lack of discretion here, but I thought this little tidbit may fit given the OP's subject material.

Our 10 week old Allie is like any boxer....a clean freak. She constantly licks paws, legs, belly, etc, in an effort to get the snow/mud off herself.

However, yesterday, we were outside and apparently she had eaten part of a stick because once she squatted to #2, she had what could only be described as a "hanger-onner." She tried and tried but couldn't get it to fall. So, she resorted to the funniest dance of jumping, twisting, and hopping I have ever seen from any animal of any kind.

I wish I had a video camera to catch that "dance." I was so busy laughing that I couldn't really be much help to her. And, the poor girl just kept looking at me like, "are you really going to just stand there and laugh at me, or are you going to get in here and DO something?" I eventually had to help, but that 30 seconds was pure hilarity.
