Got nipped at the dog park!!!!!

Just wanted to see what everyone thought...... I took Doja to the dog park yesterday and she got a little nipped on the side of her Jawls and was a little bloody, kind of like a scratch down the side of her Jawl. Stopped bleeding pretty quickly, we got home and I throughly cleaned it with aneseptic/anitbiotic wash....... and a little later it wasn't red anymore.

I asked the lady if her dog has been kept up on shots and she said, Oh Yes...and she was very apologetic at what had happened.

I think I just worry more than I should. Just wanted to make sure, if she is kept up on shots and so was the other dog, can she get sick or acquire anything from this incident?

She should be ok Just watch her closely for any signs of infection or any behaviors not tipical to her. there are several cootie bugs going arround right now. A few air born ones even. We will be thinking of you. Sorry your baby got an owie

She should be okay but I would watch it very closely my rottie had that once and it got infected really quick and I had the vet clean it and it still got infected! He lost fur around the area and it had an odor to it just some things to watch for. He had an antibiotic shot and a topical cream afterwards and it healed fine. Just be careful and watch it closely.

Hers is really really small, and even looked a lot better shortly after I cleaned it. I will clean it again when I go home on lunch break.

Like I said before, if anyone has read my previous threads, I'm just a paranoid Mamma!

Wanted to make sure its not something I should worry too much about.
