Thanks, Allison. That is soooo true. My greatest fear was what he would have to endure before he passed, so I'm grateful that it was fast, that I could say goodbye, and hopefully bring some comfort in his last moments. I felt strangely calm when he went down, and I'm grateful for that too. His last moments weren't me shrieking "Oh my God!", which is what part of me wanted to do. I'm glad, in a bittersweet way, that the same was true for you.
