Well, we went out to see the puppies, which are now safely at "grandma's" house. They are in a nice clean pen, with a crate in one corner with a comfy bed in it, and everything is clean, and they are being very well fed. They have toys for the first time. They seem very happy and content even though their mother isn't there, and so we've decided to leave him there with his siblings at least until he is six weeks old. If his siblings are still there, we'll leave him there until he is a good seven weeks old. Our dog (3 and a half years old) met him, and they were immediately playing with each other, and she was monitoring his every move. It was great. He'll have his siblings AND get used to sleeping in a crate, even though it doesn't have a door. We are SO relieved.
