Thanks for the heads up info Sunbox! It is true that with the proper training.....you can keep a dog from doing a lot of things there not supposed to. Some that are trained to do stuff that amazes you. Like a friend of mine that had a family dog (golden retriever) that was trained to go to the bathroom at the compost pile in there garden in the backyard!!! Crazy stuff that you can train a dog!!!

Boxers are wonderful with children. I don't know which should come first...( the chicken or the egg???hehehe) We have a 6 month old and she treats her 8 month old human visitor with extreme gentleness. Even though she is a puppy she knows that the baby is also a baby so I feel comfortable with her around young children. My advice with which should come first...I'm not too sure, how much energy do you have? Having a baby boxer is like having a baby for the first few weeks so perhaps it could be good practice Its up to you but both take a lot of time and energy so be prepared. I think it just depends on the temperment of the dog. Good luck with your choices.
