Completely Boxer Crazy
I don't remember where I found this but this is the cookie recipe I made for Gazou and he loves them.
• 2 ¾ cups Whole wheat flour
• ½ cup powdered milk
• ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
• 1 egg
• 6 tablespoon vegetable oil or olive or margarine
• 8 tablespoon water (8 to 10)
• 2 jars baby food, meat (beef, chicken or lamb) strained
Mix all ingredients together and knead for 3 minutes.
Roll out to 1 inch thick. Use dog bone shaped cookie cutter and place biscuits on an un-greased baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes shut down oven and leave in there over night, they will be nice and crunchy
Makes approximately 2 dozen doggie biscuits.
I made a variation of these also, I took out the garlic powder and baby food and replaced by 3/4 cup natural peanut butter.
Next time I make them I will also add a bit of parmesan cheese to the beef recipe as Gazou loves it.
They are really easy to make. If you make a few batches at a time make sure you make them one after the other as the dough is a little more difficult to knead when its been sitting for a while.
Enjoy!
