Courtney323-
Well, we went to High Island, which is north of the Galveston/Chambers county line. We have 4-wheelers, which the Federal Parks and Wildlife Management had issues with (we are on federal property and ATV's are not allowed). Zeus was off his leash, and the "ranger" didn't say anything about that. So Zeus can run around with no leash on (which I had no problem with him straying, he loved the group of about 20-25 people that we were with). Our ATV's were banned, and public NUDISTS (!!!) that were there, were also banned!!! WE DID NOT KNOW THIS WAS A NUDIES' BEACH!!!
Needless to say the ranger (which I questioned becuase he was in a beat-up old chevy blazer) told us public nudity and ATV's were not allowed on "his" beach.

...but he never said a thing about Zeus and I never brought it up.
We left afterwards and went to Crystal beach where I know you have to have your dogs leashed or you get ticketed.
Silverstar-
Zeus had a blast!! He was running around between people and snagging hot dogs and steak "fingers." The group of people we were with absolutly loved him and watched out for him whenever cars drove by. He did not stray from the camp, and we held on to him when one of the nudists walked by...UGH!! Didn't want Zeus to run over to him and touch anything!!!! People all gave him lots of attention with hugs and kisses and rough play from the "boys." Everyone was very protective of him.
By the time we went to Crystal beach, you could tell he was tired and stayed in the truck for a few hours that night after meeting with 'Big Zeus.'
Big Zeus is a beautiful HUGE white boxer that the people in the camp next to us had. Big Zeus had no teeth (awwww!!!) but was very well aware of his surroundings. We stayed up practically all night at Crystal Beach talking with Big Zeus' parents.

After Big Zeus and my Little Zeus established the pecking order, they became friends and barked at the same things and sought the same attention from people. My Little Zeus was pooped after having camped out at the beach this weekend.
After his bath when we got home, he went straight to his bed and literally fell down. He was in the same position this morning when we got up!
What a weekend for a boxer!!!
