Going crazy after a bath

Do your boxers go crazy after you give them a bath? After we walk out of the bathroom they dart all around the house in a major boxer burn! It never fails, my boys do it every single time they have a bath. Just curious to see if anyone else's boxer did this? Are they just thrilled to be clean and can't control their excitement??

Oh Boy, I know JUST what you mean about the After Bath Boxer Burn...It's so funny! I really think it's the towel drying that gets them all riled up. With this heat wave we've been having, I will just let Apollo out into the yard and he will run until he's dry. My husband and I watch him and laugh 'til it hurts.

Yeah my pup has the boxer burn down already and he's only 11 weeks. If you look in my gallery theres a pretty funny pic of him getting out from the bath.

Yeah, Stormie does the same thing. She goes nuts jumping from one bed, running through the house, onto another bed. She always has to pick up a toy and bring it along during the "burn".

We just experienced this. We just got back from the dog park and Bentley was dirt! After the bath he ran all over the house. He finally found a ball to run around with. He even started growling at it which he usually doesn't. He was running around the house for a good 20 minutes. This, after he'd already been at the dog park for over an hour chasing all the other dogs! Hopefully we'll get to sleep in tomorrow! Yeah right............

Yep, Goldie does this after baths, playing with water (kids & garden hose) or swimming in the pool. She looks like some crazed whirl of energy zipping through the house :D

Oh yes! Burn Baby Burn!

Charlie Paper definatly has a new found need to burn after a bath. I always take him in the shower with me cause it's easier, and he's more agreeable with that than being hosed. So I'll let him out of the bathroom and he'll tear around for a good 10 minutes. Just crazy! So yeah, definatly know the post-bath burn!

It appears to be yet another common boxer trait. My guys ALL do this! IT's like they think they can run away from being wet..or if they run faster they dry off faster LOL

Both my dogs do this after their bath. They burn around the house jump on the furniture rub themselves on the floor and the furniture and anything else available. You need to stay out of their path or you are bound to get run over.

WOW! It is so cool that you guys see this too. Allie does it each and everytime she gets a bath! I thought she was just crazy, but I guess not!
