. I'm not going to harp on him though because quiting smoking was a very personal decision for me - I wouldn't have wanted anyone else to push it on me and I want him to make that same decision.
It's hard - but you guys are doing GREAT!!!!!

What a smart and understanding person you are. I smoke and I have been tossing the idea about quiting, nobody knows that. But every time DH harrasses me about quiting it just annoys and doesn't help to quit. Besides I don't think there is a smoker out there that doesn't know that it is bad for their health and doesn't think about quiting.

Congratulations Macy! Keep it up. I happen to quit on November 8. My boss said he was going to quit dipping tabacco so I said I would quit smoking (of course when I finished the pack) and I did it. It wasnt as hard as I thought it would be, guess I was ready. I even went to my neighbors (we used to sit and smoke all the time) and it didnt bother me. Another friend didnt even notice I wasnt smoking (which struck me funny) My parents are coming to visit next weekend and they both smoke so i hope i can do it then. I feel so much better and I dont stink and my car doesnt stink. Yes i gained weight already but I am working on that now  My doctor gave me an inhaler thingy to help me, I didnt use it at first, then tried it on the first weekend which was the hardest. I didnt like it, but it was like smoking a cig but without the tar. My insurance wont cover it so I wont be getting it. My doctor also gave me welbutrin but that was after i quit already for a week, Think I was a little depressed so she said that would help both. I dont know if it has or not, cause it takes time to get into your system. We can do it!!!

Wow, I know this a boxer forum but some of these posts kinda give me ideas on quitting...I like the "leaving 1 smoke in your pack idea"

But we all know you gonna quit when you decide, decisions, decisons every day...I sometimes look at my puppy and figure if something happened to me because of smoking, who would take care of her, where would she go, what would've I done to her well being by me being selfish and smoking.

Good Luck!!

Great!!!!! I'm sick of the site of mints and chewing gum tho lol!!!!!

Whats really strang is Maci is listening to me more!!! If i say sit she sits fist time told!!!! I guess she can tell that i am a bit short tempered and when mommy is angry nobody in the hse gets treats cause mummy just won't make em or dish em out

Yesterday Maci was under my feet following me and i lost it it a bit and said 'SIT' in a very firm voice and Maci and my 13month old daughter both stopped dead and sat on the floor and both stered at me!!!!

I just caught this thread, but I wanted to lend you my support. I've never smoked, but I have family members who have quit before (and some who still need to quit!) so I've seen how tough that can be. I hope it's going well for you!
