I had my last cig last night at 11:30pm then went to bed, I woke up this morning and the first thing i done was stuck a patch on my arm, then got washed and dressed. Instead of having a cig and coffee for breakfast. i had toast then played with Maci and my daughter Leonie (had to take my mind off cigs at it was killing me!!) I have changed my routine so much today that Leonie and Maci look at me confused lol. I have ate a whole pack of chewing gum and mints

I HAVE NOT HAD ONE CIG TODAY!!!!

I'm so happy, it has been hard even tho i have the patch on but i couldn't be doing with withdrawlal (sp) symptons as well as habbits..

At the moment i am eatin noodles with chopsticks (keeping me busy and taking me ages)

Thankyou everyone for your advice i'll keep you updated

The title has the word "easy" in it, authors initials are A.C. (male). I hope that is not too much info and hopefully I wont get in trouble. You can find it at Barnes and Noble, worth looking into. Don't know if you have that in UK but you can order online
You can post the full name of the book here (as long as you aren't the author or the one selling it, of course ;))

How's it going today? There's also a website about Circle of Friends that is about women that support other women in this endevour. I bought a bracelet from there and I wear it every day. People ask me all the time where I got it and I get to brag and tell them that I quit smoking 3 months ago!! It's a good feeling!

day 2

today is going ok, but Maci is pushing her luck as she tried to poop on my living room floor (she just got out her bed and sqatted!!) and she is total ignoring me (she used to be a dominate (sp) dog and we have had many battles that i have won, i sware she can sence that i feel week)

I have burnt myself on the oven as well, I will win this battle with smoking

I know it's terrible. I had several days like that and I would always tell myself - if that didn't drive me to smoke - nothing will!!!! There are several websites out there that tell you minute by minute - day by day what your lungs are doing to repair themselves. That was a help to me too - I'd always think - if my lungs have already done that I don't want to set them back!

Day 2 for me, too!!

According to quitnet.com, I have not had a cigarrette in 36 hours and 40 minutes. I have NOT smoked 28 ciggs, added 5 hours to my lifetime and saved $10.80. I am actually doing well...i, too, have had to change my schedule a bit, especially at work. I HATE the car, since i used to LOVE getting into my car and smoking while driving...LOL...but I feel better today than I did yesterday...

Jo, you can do it!!! Keep up the good work!!!

so can you Bjaken, its nice to have someone going through the same its tough tho as i am at home all day (stay at home mum, partner works fulltime)

Quitnet.com says 1 day, 18 hours, 41 minutes and 15 seconds smoke free. 36 cigarettes not smoked, £3.25 and 6 hours of your life saved!

Good job to the both of you! You are doing awesome! I am sure the first few days are some of the hardest, especially if you are met with challenges! Keep it up!
