I am afraid mine have double teamed rabbits - I have found several who didnt get out of the fence in time. I have only managed to resuce a snake from Curly - who its a frog hunter extraordinare..........
When we visit my parents in the burbs of Chicago, Reno always comes with. Last Christmas, Reno wasn't in their yard for more than 2 minutes and the race was on. He caught up with the poor bunny and tossed him in the air like one of his toys. The bunny never moved again. Reno stood there pawing at it like he was saying "come on lazy bones lets play some more". I don't know if that bunny had a heart attack or what, there wasn't any blood, who knows maybe Reno broke bunnies neck/back.
Its nice to see that my baby isn't the only one fascinated with rabbits. Actually, she chases rabbits, birds, butterflies, lightning bugs, basically anything that moves. She has yet to catch one (except for maybe a lightning bug).
My kids will chase anything that moves.....the rabbits in my yard have learned to not venture far from the closest escape hole.....so far they've been lucky! Possums, squirrels, lizards and frogs however have not been so lucky. Lyra is a notorious frog and lizard hunter.....and Loki has killed the odd squirrel, and once he brought me back a LIVE possum (oh yeah...he was proud) ughhhhh.
