Ginger almost had a rabbit yesterday

Ginger & I were playing outside. I then was cleaning up the yard, I turn my head and Ginger is running as fast as she can with a rabbit an inch in front of her. Poor rabbit went under the fence. She had this intense look on her face, like where did it go? Sniffing under the fence. Also she was drooling like, mmm, that would of been a yummy lunch. This rabbit has been staying on our property for the past few weeks munching on our clover. She keeps coming back even though Ginger chases her away.

You should send Ginger to my house to take care of the squirrels and pigeons. Those squirrels think they're fooling everybody with their bushy tails, but I know they're just rats in disguise. And as for pigeons, well they're just rats with wings.

This morning, 5:00 - like who in their right mind is up at that time. Anyway, Toni needed to go out. There was a stray cat sitting on the railing of our deck when I let Toni out. Woosh - they were off and running. The cat made it under the fence and Toni came sulking back, with that look on her face - "I just wanted to play, honest, mommy". I see that look a lot when my cat teases her then runs under the baby gate and Toni just has to give chase. She hasn't had any other critters to chase yet. I live in the county and there are critters, just not in my back yard. I hope they stay out because I wouldn't want them hurt.

Beau and Samantha go ballistic when they see a rabbit in the front yard because they can't get to it. They will definitely go after one if it's in the back yard!! There is the cutest baby bunny that lives in my front yard. It's tiny!!

I came home from work one evening to a broken window in the bedroom, well It didnt take long to figure out who the guilty party was! Truman was looking at me as if to say It wasnt my fault dad, His fasination with the cats, rabbits and any other living thig that goes buy the window caused him to "jackhammer" right through the bedroom window! Its amazing how if you do get angry you dont stay that way, that face just kills me, and I was just happy he wasnt hurt!

Yeah, we've got lots of bunnies in our yard too and one of these days Marley will get one! He's been very close.....

Beasley LOVES to chase rabbits and has come very close to catching a couple of them. He'll chase them around the back yard until they figure out that they can squeeze through the fence (it's a shadowbox style) to freedom. I have to say that I see a lot less rabbbits now that Beasley's in my home. I used to lose several plants every summer from rabbits snacking on the leaves but it's lookin' like I won't have to buy new hostas for next year!
