giardia

My new 12 week old Boxer puppie has been diagnosed with Giardia. He is undergoing treatment but my Vet said it is imperitive that he does not eat his own stools due to the change of recontaiminating himself. This seems to be another issue. I work during the day and he is not fully house broken so he occasionally goes on the tile floor. I have been giving him Deter to stop him from eating his stools but it does not seem to be dtering anything. Does anyone have any other ideas?

You really do need to find a way or you will never get rid of Giardia....have you tried adding pineapple to the food? Sometimes this works.
