Getting up pet odor...

We're currently housetraining our 1-year old rescue. She has found a spot in the house where our previous dog had quite a few accidents as she was getting older. I've used PetZyme on the areas in question but I don't think the odor is completely out.

Is there any way to completely get the smell out without tearing up the carpet? I'm afraid that we're fighting an uphill battle now that she's found a spot in the house where she can smell pee.

thanks in advance...

I manage apts and I have found if you will peal the carpet back and seal the floor beneath with a product like Kilz and then replace that section of pad it generally helps. You still have to work to get the smell out of the carpet, but you can never really get it out of the pad, and sealing the floors really helps as well.
