I hope she did well. I'll be bringing my Sage in on the 25th.. She will be a year old on the 29th, can they still spay her while she is in heat..?? This is my first female and I have NO IDEA what to look for / expect....I have read up on the ACE and I will definately have them mark my girls chart.. I worry about her so much.

She is doing great!

Of course she finally got her e-collar off this morning. She has been going crazy ever since.

It is hard to try and keep her calm. Plus with all her energy she has to get some exercise or she would have me awake all night.

Anyway I am so glad she is feeling better, but wish she would calm a bit (that will never happen, lol). I have to watch her like a hawk.

Thanks for asking.

were spaying soon too

So we all know how excitable our little babies are. We are getting Kit spayed this coming monday and are very concerned that since she is so hyper that she will rip out her stitches. I know they tend to sleep for the rest of the day and usually the next day... but after that if we have no pain medicine left is there anything else we can give her to keep her calm that won't hurt her? My other vet that I had a few years ago with another dog suggested benadryl after a neutering to keep our male calm... but I am not sure about that. I know everyone says it is safe but how well does it actually work with keeping them calm? Is there anything else?

we are very nervous and just want everything to go OK.

Thanks!
Krysta
