I am picking up my baby boxer girl tomorrow and I was wondering is it a lot harder having two? Domino is 3 now and he is perrrrrfect. No messes in the house he listens to everything I tell him to do........He is the spoiled boy!:p

I guess I am just thinking about now I have all of my zebra rugs down and I dont have to worry about them or the leather or anything.

But I know a little bit of hard work with a puppy goes a long way.Domino is a prime example of that! Wish me luck ....Do you think I will loose that closeness I have with Domino bringing in a new puppy?:(

I have no Idea but when you get the new puppy let me know. All I know is what I have heard, And that pay attention to the older first. So that he doesn't feel left out. I want another and I am worried about the same thing!! Good Luck!!

Super Boxer
I have two- and other than having to go thru the potty thing again, most of the time it is actually easier. They entertain each other most of the time, except of course when I am trying to eat or get ready to go somewhere (like work and I'm already late:eek: ) Then Tenaia (the baby) insists on putting her tug toy in my plate (yes, while I'm trying to eat, thus not paying any attention to her), or she stands between my legs when I'm putting my shoes on, making it impossible to tie them!

Give lots of extra attention to the older one - they do get a little bent out of shape (no pun intended) when they realize they have to share your attention. Tess just sighs alot when she feels she's being neglected (like that would ever happen!smashicon )

Good luck!

I have no experience with owning multiple dogs, but then it doesn't matter. I kept getting distracted by the adorable pictures of Domino in your Avatar!!!

Jen,

Thank you.....I am crossing my fingers all goes well. At least if it doesnt work out the breeder I am buying Sahara from will work with me...I am hoping a weekend home (and its Domino'd b-day) that they will really all bond and all will be fine.:)

PS~On the thing about your baby going between your legs when you get your shoes on?????????What is that Domino does the same thing....maybe they are telling us "awhhh please don't go..stay home right here with me!!);)

Hi,
We have two boxers we just got Charlotte two weeks ago she is 1 and our Santana is 3. Yes Santana needs lots of attention. But so far they are getting along great except for the pee thing. We had to let her know NO. not in the house. Charlotte is only 49 lbs and Santana is 80 but she lets him know when enough is enough. Since Santana just wants to hump her. But things are so much better now!!
We are glad we got the second boxer. They are so entertaining and make us laugh.
Hope every works out for you.
Take Care

We just got our second boxer about a month ago and things have been great!! Casper and Chloe love each other so much. At first Casper was a little jealous, but now everything is back to normal. He does like to take her toys away from her though, but then again he is only 6 months and Chloe is 3 months. The potty training is also going well. I think Chloe is learning by watching Casper.
